Renovating Your Home Before Selling: Part 2

The most inexpensive and best way to spruce up your home before it hits the market is simply a fresh coat of paint. If there are bold colours in your home, we always recommend a change to a more neutral colour. Also, inevitably when “living” in your house (especially with kids) dings and paint chips are bound to happen. A quick coat of paint has an extremely powerful impact on how a home presents. It’s also a good idea to look at painting the trim in your home. If a deep clean still leaves baseboards looking rough, a quick patch and paint can brighten them right up. This is also a good opportunity to take down family pictures (to depersonalize the space) and patch up nail holes.
